Corey Deitz - biographical notes
In his over 25 years in radio, Corey Deitz has been a radio personality in Chicago, St. Louis, Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo, Richmond, Virginia Beach, Little Rock, and other cities. His forte is "mornings", the most competitive day-part on a Radio station. For the past 14 years, Deitz has partnered with Jay Hamilton as a two-man wake-up team. They were voted "Best Morning Show in Little Rock- 2001" by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette and previously were awarded "Best Morning Show In Virginia" for 1992 and 1993 by the Virginia Association of Broadcasters.
In addition to his Radio work, Deitz is also a free-lance voice-over artist and has done regional and national voice work for clients such as: Southern Ford Dealers, Southern States, Pittsburg Ford Dealers, McDonalds, Amarillo National Bank, Iowa Wireless, Alaska Sealife Center, Oklahoma Dept. of Commerce, Alaska First Bank, Humana, Cricket Wireless and many more.
Deitz has written for several industry and general publications including: "Morning Mouth", "Radio Ink", "Toastmasters International", and "Richmond Magazine". He now writes for and edits the Radio site at About.com
Deitz, a self-taught computer programmer, developed and introduced, "Airware", in 1991, the first software designed to aid radio professionals in preparing for their radio shows. He subsequently developed and marketed other radio-oriented applications.
Corey Deitz is a graduate of Kent State University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications and has also completed some graduate courses in his pursuit of a Law Degree.
